Case Manager
Job Duties:
- Work under direct supervision of our firm’s licensed attorneys performing complex duties which require a higher level of specialized legal knowledge and skills than the work typically performed by paralegals.
- Identify and investigate appropriate laws, regulations, and administrative rules/policies, determine whether and to what extent these legal findings apply to and/or support the particular facts or issues involved in a particular case, and on the basis thereof, prepare well-reasoned and thoroughly detailed legal documents for review by the firm’s attorneys.
- Manage immigration caseload consisting of various types of employment and family-based petitions and applications (H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, TN, H-4, N-400, etc.).
- Work closely with clients and the legal team to prepare petitions for filing with USCIS and DOL.
- Prepare and draft USCIS and DOL forms, support letters, memoranda and sworn statements for attorney review.
- Prepare and review responses to PERM Audits and Supervised Recruitments issued by the DOL.
- Discuss case strategy and case statuses with lead attorneys and the legal team at our weekly and monthly meetings.
- Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, and legal codes relevant to assigned cases, and keep abreast of changes in immigration policy.
- Responsible for providing well-reasoned recommendations to attorneys.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science or Business or foreign equivalent.
